
To register for courses online you need to:
- Be a current student.
- Make a list of the courses that you would like to take. If you want to save time, you can write down the CRN #’s (course registration number) for the courses. (CRN #’s are the 5 digit numbers listed in the schedule book or on our online schedule- Select “schedule of courses” before logging into the Student Information System.) Or click the schedule link above, if available.
Students must meet with their Academic Advisor regarding course selection prior to registering for classes ONLINE.
To register for courses online, enter the Student Information System's Secure Area. Detailed directions for registering online are listed below:
1). Log On
Enter your User ID.
Your user ID is your social security number (or the 9-digit student ID number, @xxxxxxxx, we generated for you if you did not provide us with your SSN.)
Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
If you have already logged into the Student information System (SIS) before, enter your PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN, enter your user ID and click forgot my PIN to reset your PIN. If you have not used the SIS before, your PIN is either your 6-digit date of birth (mmddyy) or the last six (6) digits of your user ID. When you log in for the first time, you will be required to reset your PIN and set up a security question. Call 524-3207 for assistance with log-in problems.
Click on “Student & Financial Aid” at Main Menu.
Click on “Registration,” then Select Term, then “Submit.”
2). Choose courses for registration: Use step 1 or 2 below to select courses.
1. Select “Look up Classes”, to search for courses if you do not know the CRN #s, and follow the directions on the top of the screen.
**OR**
2. Select “Add/Drop Classes” to add/drop by CRN#; follow the directions on the screen and click “Submit Changes”.
3. You are now registered; click “Return to Menu” at the top of the screen and go on to step 3.
3). Review/Complete Registration and Schedule:
1. At the main menu, choose either “Student Schedule by Day or Time” and click next week” or “Student Detail Schedule” and review for accuracy. Should you wish to print your schedule, we recommend you print the “Student Detail Schedule”.
2. If you have errors on your schedule, select “Return to Menu”, go back to step 2 and correct your registration by following the directions on the screen. Click “Submit changes”, then “Return to Menu” when corrections are complete. Go back and review your schedule.
3. Complete Registration: Click “Complete Registration” to guarantee your seat in the class. You may review your tuition charges** online and you will receive a bill from our Business Office with further instructions on payment options.
**Tuition charges for the fall semester will not be assessed until mid-July. Therefore, charges will not appear on your account at the time of registration.
Registration Stoppers
Holds
Financial holds will prevent a student from registering for classes and must be removed before the student is permitted to register. For information regarding holds, contact the Business Office at 524-3207.
Co-Requisite Error
Students who attempt to register for a course which requires simultaneous registration for another course(s) in which they have not yet registered will receive a “Co-Requisite Error.” Return to “Class Search” and select and register for all required classes at the same time.
Link Error
Some courses consist of parts, such as lecture, lab, and/or clinic. If you receive a “Link Error,” it is because you tried to register for a course without its corresponding component(s). Return to “Class Search” and select a lecture section and a lab section.
Prerequisite Error
Students who attempt to register for a course which requires successful completion of another course(s) which they have not yet completed will receive a “Prerequisite Error.” If you believe you have met the prerequisite you may need to contact your advisor, the course instructor or the Registrar’s office at 524-3207 to register.
Repeat Limit Error
Students who attempt to register for a course which they have already repeated will receive a “Repeat Count Warning.” You will still be able to register for the course; however, you need to see your advisor to confirm course selection.
Time Conflict
Students may not schedule any courses in conflict. If you receive a “Time Conflict” error, it is because you tried to register for courses that meet at the same time. Return to “Class Search” and select another course/section.
