Helping New Hampshire workers get the skills they need for the jobs of tomorrow
In October 2007, Governor John Lynch announced a new program that provides $1,000,000.00
(one million dollars) to business and industry to assist them in job training. Through the "Job Training Fund", the State of New Hampshire will match businesses dollar for dollar in their effort to attract new businesses, assist in the expansion of business and retain business in the State of New Hampshire.
In conjunction with the Community College System as primary vendor of training, businesses can apply to the Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) for participation in this program. Governor Lynch called this program "a true partnership between business, the state and our community college system".
Interested businesses can get additional information from the Community College System of NH or by calling the Workforce Development Department at their local community college campus.
