NHCTC Laconia’s 38th Commencement Ceremony at Meadowbrook

 

The 38th Annual Commencement Ceremony was held for New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia graduates Saturday, May 19, at Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center in Gilford.  One hundred sixty-eight students graduated from the Laconia College in twenty areas with one hundred seventy-three degrees.

Student of the Year was presented to General Motors Automotive Service Education Program honor student, Kent Levin (Wolfeboro Falls), based upon service to the College and to the Lakes Region community during his tenure as Student Senate President.

The College’s Valedictorian was Business Management major, Kim Meehan (Wolfeboro), who completed her degree with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

The Commissioner’s Award of Teaching Excellence went to Business Management Professor, Max Brown (Loudon)The Commissioner’s Award for Service Excellence was given to the College’s Library Assistant & Webmaster, Terry Hughes (Laconia)Hughes is also an honor student in NHCTC Laconia’s Computer Technologies Associate Degree Program.

Instructor of the Year, voted on by the students, was Arts and Sciences Professor, Art Deleault (Manchester).  Deleault serves as the advisor for PHAS Tracks, the College’s national award-winning literary journal, as well.
